AntiMaidan flash-mob in Lugansk “AntiMaidown”

By | November 24, 2014

November 21, students of Lugansk staged a mock EuroMaidan revolution. With Uncle Sam leading the way, eating Nuland cookies, young men in masks ran around the city yelling out EuroMaidan slogans.

Although, originally EuroMaidan started as a peaceful protest, eventually it grew into a full blown war against police officers and local government workers. EuroMaidan protesters used Molotov cocktails to light police officers on fire, while others simply used rifles against unarmed riot police. Eventually, despite the fact that old president has given up and called for early elections, armed men took control of government building and installed new regime. South-eastern part of Ukraine was against new illegal regime. Kiev ended up creating National Guard (or as people call them punitive) battalions to impose new illegal regime’s rule upon Donetsk, Lugansk and other regions. Eventually Donetsk and Lugansk regoins held referendums where they decided to separate from violence and madness of Ukraine. National Guard and Ukrainian army are still attacking newly formed Donetsk and Lugansk republics, trying to force new regime and everything it stands for upon them.
