«We were under fire till the middle of the night. Bullets were flying over our yards and homes, one guy was shot in the chest,” said paramedic from the local refugee camp. According to the paramedic the camp and residential buildings are 500 meters away from the border with Ukraine.

«Now we do not know what to do; we are scared to venture into the streets, but still have to — there our refugees», she added.
In search of shelter from the fire at night more than 80 border guards trespassed the border and fled to the Russian territory, two of them were wounded. As it was reported earlier, Russian territories were fired at from Ukrainian side.

Later it became known that Russia’s Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under article «attempted murder under aggravating circumstances» over the attack at the Russian border.

Russian Presidential Administration expect an explanation and apology from the Ukraine in connection with the incident. As reported by Kremlin aide, shelling destroyed a building and left the customs officer wounded.

In addition, the administration of President stressed that the ceasefire statement by the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko «was, accidentally or deliberately, made at the time of the attack on Russian territory.»
However, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry denied the mortar attack on the Russian border checkpoint. «Due to the proximity to the state border with Russia, Ukrainian military forces did and do avoid engaging artillery or mortar fire», said Kiev officials.

This Friday President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko has signed a decree of ceasefire in the east. Kiev promised to stop military actions until June 27. Previously he suggested creating 100-kilometer buffer zone at the border with Russia.
