November 18, Afanasyi Kosse died in Donetsk Airport after Ukrainian army once again began shelling it. Kosse has traveled with self-defense forces and for the past several months he was collecting evidence of crimes that Ukrainian forces committed against local civilians – said his friend Panaiotis Ksantopulos.
“Afanasyi had dual citizenship – Greek and Ukrainian. His family is here in Athens, Greece.” – said Ksantopulos.
At Kosse’s request his friend has sent him Greek flag along with humanitarian help. “Can you imagine! Greek flag on front lines in Donetsk! He was very proud of it, he was happy to represent Greece. He always said that if Greek media will refuse to write truth about Ukraine, we will write it.” – said Ksantopulos.
