Participant of Odessa massacre arrested in Moscow

Aleksei Goncharenko – Ukrainian deputy, participated in killing of members of opposition that were against government overthrow in Kiev on February 22, 2014. Massacre of May 2, 2014 also known as Odessa massacre  took place in Odessa, Ukraine where radical nationalists forced almost 50 member of opposition of the new nationalist regime in Kiev into an Odessa trade building and set the building on fire. 46 people burnt alive. Those who were able to escape the flames by jumping out of the windows were beaten by Ukrainian radical nationalists on the street.

Goncharenko was arrested today – March 1, 2015 – in Moscow for hate crimes against Russian speaking population of Ukraine. Earlier today opposition leaders held a rally in Moscow to mourn a death of an opposition leader Nemtsov. Thousands of Ukrainians poured into the country to support Russian opposition, carrying Ukrainian flags during today’s rally. Many locals of Moscow jokingly note that: “they (Ukrainian nationalists and opposition) created a mess in their own country, now they want to help our knuckleheads to create a mess in our country”.
