It’s been almost a year since protests on Maidan square in Kiev divided Ukraine. Western part of the country supported violent coup that ended up in government overthrow. Eastern Ukraine say they will not live under new illegitimate nationalist regime in Kiev. they say: bring back the way things used to be or let us live in our own country, on our ancestor’s land.

War torn Donetsk where Ukrainian army is trying to force new nationalist regime upon the region is unwilling to live under an illegitimate coup installed regime that is being imposed upon them.

Western Ukraine says that the land of Donetsk and Lugansk that Lenin gave them in 1922 belongs to them and they will kill as many people, that are native to that land, as necessary to keep the land.

Trying to inspire their sons and husbands in their quest in Donetsk grandmas of western Ukraine took AK rifles and cameras and took to the woods to lead by example.
