Photos: War torn Lugansk turns 220 years old

People of Lugansk are celebrating their city’s 220th birthday. People came out to center square to dance, sing, and celebrate. Lugansk was founded in 1795 in Russian Federation. In 1922 communists gifted Lugansk to Ukraine. Unhappy with 2014 revolution in Kiev when through violent coup radical nationalists came to power, majority of Lugansk residents voted to separate themselves from Ukraine.
